Character: Nox
Canon: Wakfu
Canon Point: After Season 1 Episode 2
CRAU, Canon AU: No
Character age: 200+ years old
Canon Abilities/Powers:
As a member of the Time Magic class Xelor (Wakfu hides many things through backwards text...), Nox has many spells that relate to time and space such as slowing down moving objects, summoning swords shaped like clock hands, and in his signature move, stopping time. While affected living beings can react to things when time is stopped, everything is otherwise frozen in place. The very strong willed (like a father in the middle of trying to protect his son) or the strong in general (such as dragons) can fight or outright break out of this.
The other main use of his magic is teleportation. Nox can blink himself pretty much wherever he wants at will, even to locations he is physically not familiar with such as areas that he sees through screens.
Perhaps as a consequence of Nox's natural magic talent being very mediocre before being "enhanced" by the Eliacube, Nox's magic is prone to malfunctions, where it simply does not do what he wants for a few seconds. He has horrible luck regarding when this happens.
Because of his age Nox has gradually replaced his own, originally human body with clockwork prosthetics. The rest of his body has decayed into sand that is held in shape by the bandages he wears. This process seems to have made him more durable overall, because he shows remarkable persistence despite all the beatings he goes through. Even when blasted with fire so hot the sand is molten around him, sooner or later he's back up and walking around again.
Nox heavily bases his powers around using the Eliacube. Originally an ancient device intended to enhance the user's magic, Nox mainly uses it to drain wakfu (life energy) and store it, which rapidly ages and kills whoever or whatever he is taking it from. Nox can use the collected wakfu to extend his own life, charge up his powers, or fuel his robots. It's not clear if the draining ability is only due to the Eliacube (which I won't be bringing over), but he still can drain poor sods who are physically touching the ports in his hands even if he cannot store it without the Cube.
Outside of magic, Nox is an ingenious inventor with clockwork. His creations include robots, vehicles, and constructable portals. The more overtly magical inventions usually have the pesky limitation of needing to be powered by living beings, which requires Nox to use the Cube.
What is their greatest negative emotion towards an object, situation, or person in their past?: Failing to save his family. While they technically perished in a flood, Nox drove them away in the first place due to neglecting them for his research. The guilt and regret of causing their deaths is what pushed him over the line, driving him insane and causing him to give up his old identity as Noximillien the watchmaker, giving us the Nox of the present day.
Even 200 years later the guilt is unbearable, which is why Nox's intentions are ultimately to not bear it forever. Nox's only reason for continuing to exist is to continue his research so that he can one day correct his great mistake.
How strongly do they feel about the negative subject matter, on the scale of one to ten?: 10. He obsesses over it every moment he lives, conscious or not. Even in his dreams he sees his children.
What is their greatest virtue?: Determination. After dedicating himself to his goal Nox has spent 200 straight years fighting, laboring, and sacrificing (mostly the lives of others, but still) to get it done. His will has never faltered even through losses and setbacks, which are considerable in number and often end in undignified and extremely painful ways. After those defeats he always goes back to the pursuit with his relentless, maniac zeal.
How aware are they of their virtue, on a scale from one to ten?: Fairly low like a 4. Despite being delusional about many things, he is actually pretty self-aware about himself (including realizing that he is, all in all, a pretty shit person), but he doesn't value it very highly for all the good it's done for anyone.
Items:
A sword shaped like a clockhand. It's segmented so that it can be unassemabled and re-assembled with magic, which he does to instantly bring it to his hand.

Special notes
Due to his body being way over his expiration date, Nox actually needs to drain wakfu to live and not just for his powers and inventions. I'm fine with concentrated wakfu vials appearing in the convenience store, though I'd like to ask permission for Nox to continue "supplying" himself with local small animals and trees.
